Meet the DTNY 2026 Speakers Shaping the Next 50 Years of Technology

In the first preview of our Deep Tech New York program, we're thrilled to unveil the founders, scientists, and bold thinkers that will join us onstage in January.

With just under two months until DTNY on January 28, I couldn’t be more excited to share our first set of speakers that will be featured onstage at our inaugural conference. I promise we’re cooking up something special!

As we begin to unveil the incredible visionaries speaking at DTNY, each of them embody our central theme of “Conversations for Tomorrow” — they are the leaders shaping the next 50 years of technology and represent breakthrough innovations in everything from thermodynamics and nuclear energy to the future of space infrastructure, the discovery of new materials, and much, much more.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out more info on the rest of our speakers and agenda, but without further ado, here are a few of the remarkable people you can expect to see on the DTNY stage!

Guillaume Verdon — Founder, Extropic AI

Building the future of thermodynamic computer hardware, Guillaume represents the cutting-edge frontier of AI. With a background in quantum computing research (including key contributions to Google’s quantum machine learning software, Tensorflow Quantum), Guillaume will share more on the impact of physics-based computing and the creation of radically more efficient hardware than GPUs.

Isaiah Taylor — Founder, Valar Atomics

Following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, who was a physicist on The Manhattan Project, Isaiah Taylor and his company Valar Atomics are making enormous strides in the advancement of mass-manufactured nuclear energy systems.

Isaiah will unpack the ways we are closer than ever to delivering reliable, safe, and low-cost abundant nuclear power.

Josie Zayner — Founder, The Embryo Corporation

As a bio-hacking futurist, Josie embraces every ounce of the phrase “pushing the boundaries of science.”

In their talk titled, “Dreams of Biological Insanities,” Josie will explore the daring work of gene-editing and where the lines between imagination and possibility begin to blur.

Jeff Thornburg — CEO, Portal Space Systems

As SpaceX’s second-ever head of propulsion engineering, Jeff architected and developed the Raptor Engine for the Starship and Starship Booster programs — not to mention the successful launches of six Falcon 9s, as well as previous roles with the US Air Force and Amazon’s project Kuiper.

For anyone interested in the next chapter of space travel and the engineering of interplanetary mobility, you won’t want to miss Jeff’s fascinating talk.

Danielle Strachman — Co-Founder & General Partner, 1517 Fund

Backing the next generation of radical science and deep tech founders, Danielle brings an investor lens to the DTNY stage, sharing her experience turning bold visions into real-world technology.

Hear her perspective on the crucial elements — and most important sectors — that startups can best address in the decades to come.

Joseph Krause — Co-Founder & CEO, Radical AI
